Drugstore Foundations

I could go on all day about how I love MAC Studio Waterweight foundation or Estee Lauder’s Double Wear but then I wouldn’t be explaining how much I LOVE drugstore foundations.

9 times out of 10 I use a drugstore foundation and wanted to let you all know which ones are my favourite!

L’Oreal True Match

The ‘Super-Blendable Foundation’ – Exactly as it says on the tin! Tin? You know what I am trying to get at! For £9.99 this foundation works wonders! It really does blend well and I find applying it with a foundation brush and then blending out with a beauty blender is the best way to apply this foundation! Also a bonus that it’s medium to full coverage and has SPF 17. I also think that they have quite a good range of shades which helps!

L’Oreal Infallible

Again, another L’Oreal favourite! This one is amazing on both oily and dry skin! I suffer with dry skin and it still works really well for me considering it has a matte finish! Again, really blends well and with this one I tend to apply with my Real Techniques expert face brush and then use the stippling brush and buffer brush to even it out onto my skin ensuring all areas are covered! This one is also very long lasting!

 Maxfactor Infinity – 3 in 1

This foundation is amazing, its a primer, concealer and foundation in one! I tend to still add primer before using this out of habit but in all honesty I don’t think it would be needed! It blends really well and has medium coverage as well as SPF 20!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Serum 25 hour

I LOVE this foundation although 25 hours is pretty extreme, well you never know I may sleep in it one night to test it but it lasts a good 10 hours! Its so smooth and leaves you with a dewy look which helps me as my skin is dehydrated. This is ideal for nights out as it is really long lasting! The only downside to it is that I had to get a darker shade and wear this one when I tan, there isn’t much shade choice, well there is but nothing that is suited to me! Apart from the shade issue, the consistency of the product is pretty good!

I think I could go on and on and my list would be never ending but the above four are my current drugstore foundation faves! Whats your fave? Leave me a comment, I’m always looking to try new drugstore products, especially foundations!

I do have to say though, out of the four, the L’Oreal one’s are my favourites!

Thanks for reading!

  • I’m always on the look out for good quality drugstore make-up, recently I tried the No.7 by Boots Airbrush Away Foundation and really liked it, however it has a very satin feel and i do like a matte finish! I’ve been curious to try L’Oreal for a while, so after seeing few positive reviews, I think now is the time 🙂

  • It seems like L’oreal’s foundation is everybody’s favorite drugstore foundation. Sad that we don’t have them here in Korea. 🙁 I’ll make sure to pick one up next time I’m in the U.S.!

      • I could, but call me old-fashioned, I still like the experience of buying something at a store haha! I’m visiting the states in a few weeks so maybe I’ll grab one then 🙂

  • I like all of these foundations, especially the True Match, except the Max Factor one, it just didn’t last well on my skin and I remember that the coverage wasn’t what I was expecting. Drugstore has nowadays some great foundations! x
